Attractive rural location overlooking the village green at Udny not far from Ellon and Pitmedden Gardens (NTS).

Charismatic ‘kilted chef’ Craig Wilson and his wife Lindsay have certainly created a food haven that is a must for the real ‘foodie’ - one not to be missed when visiting this part of Aberdeenshire. This restaurant has elicited praise from food critics and demanding food guides.

I always look forward to my visits here – professional ‘front of house’ operation and a great dining experience in comfortable surroundings – clothed tables and relaxed ambience sets the tone.

The secret here is the sourcing of quality ingredients and homegrown fruit and vegetables. Nothing complicated here (but some innovation) with clarity of flavour and consistent throughout all courses.

Recently refurbished, comprising an elegant bar, stylish new Gin Garden bar and Mediterranean-feel patio, main restaurant and three private dining rooms, Eat on the Green provides a venue appropriate for every occasion no matter how big or small.
