Magnificent parkland setting with manicured lawns sets the tone as you drive down to MacLeod House Restaurant just north of Balmedie on the periphery of Aberdeen. Distinct feeling of opulence on the approach but a very friendly and professional greeting on arrival.

Known by reputation, head chef Paul Whitecross delivers a gastronomic delight using all his experience with dishes using well known suppliers to create sensible menus from local produce. Dishes may include Cullen Skink, Highland venison, scorched cod fillet and a hot mango soufflé, coconut and vanilla bean sorbet. Extremely comfortable table settings and service was faultless.

Although there are 16 luxurious bedrooms the restaurant is open to non residents and private dining is also available. No doubt it is gaining a reputation as a food destination alongside the famous golf links.

Corporate and wedding enquiries welcome.
