Michelin Star restaurant since 2000, Keith and Nicola Braidwood fully deserve the plaudits they have received over the years. 

Attractive converted country styled cottage surrounded by fields just outside Dalry in Ayrshire. Idyllic situation. 

I have known Keith and Nicola since their days at Shieldhill Country House near Biggar where their culinary efforts were also recognised. By repute expectations are high and I have never been disappointed when sampling the fayre. 

Great prep work and good sourcing of ingredients are obvious. High technical skills here with flair and a consistency throughout the meal. Depth of flavour evident. No restricted menu here – sophisticated and varied choice. Boneless quail stuffed with black pudding a favourite. 

Nicola’s ‘front of house’ skills are exemplary – relaxed atmosphere and a warm welcome. 

Too many awards to mention – Highly commended. Keith and Nicola are both Masterchefs of Great Britain.

Children welcome over 12.
