As the name suggests this is a fine Scottish themed restaurant in the centre of Edinburgh just down from St. Andrew’s Square.

The name Stac Polly comes from the famous Scottish mountain near Achiltibuie in the North West region of the country.

Scottish fayre at its best with seasonal influences – varied choice from well designed menus. Sourcing of good suppliers, good prep work and the talents of the kitchen brigade do the rest.

Refurbished 2 years ago the dining area is downstairs with a brasserie at ground level which includes a gin & wine bar. Over the years this has become a permanent fixture for many and has certainly ‘moved with the times’. Make a note if visiting the capital of Scotland!

(First visited, 1989).
