Paul Leonard, Head chef at Isle of Eriska Hotel, Spa & Island Resort has moved on to pastures new. The hotel was sold last year by The Buchanan-Smith Family to the Rong Family from China. Munur Kara has been appointed head chef at Fonab Castle Hotel & Spa. David Littlewood (ex–Kildrummy Inn and Raemoir House Hotel) has taken over the operation at Tor-na-Coille Hotel in Banchory. The new 6 Bell Tower self catering suites have been added at Glencoe House. Killiecrankie Hotel has been placed on the market.
 David Mutter (chef) has taken over the food operation at The Clachan Grill, Ballater. Alan and Joyce Craigie, formerly of The Creel Restaurant on Orkney have purchased Ronas House in inverness (B&B). The Maple Court in inverness (near Eden court Theatre) has been purchased and will become a 48 bedroomed hotel and will be re-named 12 Ness Walk.

Paul Wenbourne has been appointed head chef at Dryburgh Abbey Hotel. Derek Johnstone (ex-Greywalls) has been appointed head chef at Borthwick Castle, Midlothian. Scott Leadley has been appointed as head chef at The Golf Inn, Gullane, East Lothian. The Grouse & Claret Restaurant near Kinross celebrate their 26th year of trading. Christine Fox has been appointed General Manager at Taychreggan Hotel, Argyll. Muckrach Country House Hotel have appointed Kevin Staines as General Manager. The MacCallum Family at Glengarry Castle Hotel celebrate their 60th year as a family run hotel (1958-2018).
